LNH-100L Screw Extrusion Kneader — Proprietary Mechanical Seal to Prevent Staining and Leakage
For color-sensitive formulations such as transparent rubber and white rubber, contamination from seal wear or packing particles is a major production risk. The LNH-100L screw extrusion kneader addresses this by using our in-house mechanical seals at both the shaft and screw ends, reducing leakage and contamination caused by conventional packing wear.

Key Features
Proprietary mechanical seals (shaft & screw): Unlike conventional packing seals, mechanical seals have no exposed packing material that can wear and shed particles. This significantly reduces blade-end leakage and the risk of staining sensitive products.
Single-layer Sigma blade design: Reliable single-layer Sigma blades provide strong kneading for viscous compounds while remaining easy to clean and maintain.
Base model without jacket or vacuum (customizable): The standard LNH-100L is single-layer with no jacket or vacuum—but jacketed, vacuum, extrusion options (e.g., lower screw discharge), and explosion-proof electricals can be provided on request.
Typical applications: Transparent/white rubbers, stain-sensitive formulations, high-cleanliness chemical processing.
Why mechanical seals?
Packing (gland) seals are simple and economical initially, but over time they wear and can release fibers/particles that contaminate color-sensitive products. Mechanical seals rely on mating seal faces rather than loose packing, eliminating the primary source of contamination and offering better protection for product color integrity.
Important caveat
Mechanical seals are not universally suitable. Abrasive fillers, long fibers, highly corrosive chemistries, or extreme pressure/temperature conditions may damage seal faces or reduce seal life. Therefore, for every order we will:
Evaluate sample material or formulation for compatibility;
Recommend suitable sealing strategies (mechanical seal, improved packing, specialty seal faces) depending on the material;
Provide maintenance and inspection intervals tailored to the process.
Customization & Service
LNH-100L supports custom options: jacketed barrels for heating/cooling, vacuum systems for degassing, various discharge configurations (lower screw extrusion or side discharge), explosion-proof electrics, and special contact materials. Detailed quotes and lead times are provided after technical confirmation.
Conclusion
The LNH-100L offers a practical route to reduce contamination and staining risks through a proprietary mechanical sealing approach. We emphasize fit-for-purpose engineering — mechanical seals are a powerful solution for many color-sensitive processes, but we will assess and recommend the right option for your material to ensure stable production and product quality.
