Horizontal Ribbon Blender
The horizontal ribbon blender is the most widely used dry powder mixer in the food industry. The U-shaped trough contains a central shaft fitted with inner and outer helical ribbon blades that rotate in opposite directions — moving material toward the center and outward simultaneously. This counter-flow action produces fast, highly uniform blending of dry powders, granules and powder-liquid combinations. Mixing cycle typically 3–15 minutes depending on material and batch size.
